Robert J. Schoen
Co-Chief Investment Officer, Global Asset Allocation
Mr. Schoen is Co-Chief Investment Officer, Global Asset Allocation (GAA). In partnership with Co-CIO of GAA Brett S. Goldstein, he oversees the strategy and positioning of Putnam's GAA products, including research, security selection, portfolio construction, and risk management. His work also contributes to Putnam's Capital Markets Outlook. In addition, Mr. Schoen is a member of Putnam's Operating Committee and ESG Committee, which leads environmental, social, and governance initiatives across the firm. He joined Putnam in 1997 and he has been in the investment industry since 1990.
Mr. Schoen is a portfolio manager of Putnam Dynamic Asset Allocation Funds (Growth, Balanced, and Conservative); Putnam Dynamic Risk Allocation Fund; Putnam Multi-Asset Absolute Return Fund; Putnam Multi-Asset Model Portfolios; Putnam Retirement Advantage Funds; Putnam RetirementReady Funds; Putnam Total Return Fund; and Putnam 529 for America. Previously at Putnam, he served as a Co-Head of GAA, Head of the Quantitative Models group, and as an Analyst for the GAA group.
