Leadership Development ProgramPutnam has a long history of identifying and developing talent across all levels of the organization, particularly focusing on the advancement of our associates' leadership and management skills. One of the organization's top priorities is to enhance our bench of talent, while also providing focused development and career opportunities for our high potential performers. The Leadership Development Program has remained a prominent Talent & Learning offering, often leading participants to expanded roles. The program runs annually, and content is customized based on target population, skill gaps, and business initiatives/goals.
Women's Leadership Development ProgramResearch shows that women bring unique characteristics and capabilities to the leadership challenges they face, both in their personal and professional spheres. To be successful, organizations need to leverage this diversity of leadership: to improve the quality of decision-making, provide inspiration and role modeling, and tap into diverse points of view. Putnam's Womens Leadership program's overarching mandate is to provide our most promising female associates with development opportunities to equip them with skills and resources to be successful at Putnam and build long-term careers. The program integrates the most critical aspects of leadership development with theory, practice, and coaching/feedback.
Mentoring ProgramMentoring is one of the oldest forms of learning and often one of the most impactful means of growing personally and professionally. The Putnam Mentoring Program is one of the company's flagship programs. It allows associates to enrich their professional experience by working with another associate to develop skills and knowledge through a partnership of advocacy and guidance. The program is administered by the Talent & Learning group and provides an opportunity for associates to expand their professional network, leverage their talent across the organization, act as a trusted advisor for another colleague, and get exposure to other parts of the organization.
At Putnam, we understand that one of our key responsibilities is to provide opportunities where associates can learn, expand skill sets, and grow successful careers.
Putnam associates may be placed into a formal new hire program based on their role, and will be able to enroll in a classroom program or access one of our online learning partners.
